Town Council of Jurong East (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Jurong East, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following By-laws:

1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Jurong East (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 1996 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st July 1995.

2. Item 8 of the Schedule to the Town Council of Jurong East (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws (By 52) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “Stall” in paragraph (1), the words “not falling under paragraph (1)”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately before paragraph (1), the following paragraph:

“

“(1)	Stall at Block 502, West Coast Drive Market:

(a)	Cooked food stall

$11 per square metre of the stall subject to a minimum of $110 for the first 10 square metres.

(b)	Fruit, preserved and dried goods, fresh fish and seafood, meat or poultry stall

$5.50 per square metre of the stall subject to a minimum of $55 for the first 10 square metres.

(c)	Vegetable, bean curd and noodle, egg, ground assorted spices or miscellaneous stall

$3.40 per square metre of the stall subject to a minimum of $34 for the first 10 square metres.

(d)	Piece and sundry stall

$6.60 per square metre of the stall subject to a minimum of $66 for the first 10 square metres.”;

(c)

by re-numbering the existing paragraphs (1) and (2) as paragraphs (2) and (3), respectively; and

(d)

by deleting the words “paragraph (1)” at the end of paragraph (3) and substituting the words “paragraph (1) or (2)”.
