Dangerous Fireworks (Exemption) Notification 2018 |

Citation and commencement |
1. This Notification is the Dangerous Fireworks (Exemption) Notification 2018 and comes into operation on 1 April 2018. |

2. In this Notification, unless the context otherwise requires —

Exemption of executor of fireworks display |
3. Sections 3 and 4 of the Act do not apply to an exempt company in relation to dangerous fireworks used or to be used in a fireworks display that is, or is to be, executed by the exempt company for an exempt organiser, in accordance with the conditions specified in Part 1 of the Schedule. |
Exemption of organiser |
4. Section 3 of the Act does not apply to an organiser of a fireworks display that is, or is to be, executed by an exempt company for the organiser, if the organiser complies with the conditions specified in Part 2 of the Schedule. |
Exemption of special guest |
5. Section 3 of the Act does not apply to a special guest at a fireworks display in relation to dangerous fireworks used or to be used in a fireworks display that is, or is to be, executed by an exempt company for an exempt organiser. |
Exemption of Health Sciences Authority officer |
6. Section 3 of the Act does not apply to a forensic scientist or laboratory officer from the Forensic Chemistry & Physics Laboratory, Forensic Science Division in the Applied Sciences Group of the Health Sciences Authority established by the Health Sciences Authority Act (Cap. 122C), in relation to dangerous fireworks that are to be tested by the forensic scientist or laboratory officer at the request of a police officer. |
