Fisheries (Fishing Vessels) (Amendment) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Fisheries Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Fisheries (Fishing Vessels) (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1997.

Deletion and substitution of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Fisheries (Fishing Vessels) Rules (R 2) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“FIRST SCHEDULE

Rules 5, 8(6) and 13(4)

(1)	For the licensing of —

(a)	a fishing vessel not mechanically propelled or propelled only by an outboard engine

$50 per annum

(b)	a fishing vessel propelled by an inboard engine —

(i)	not exceeding 50 gross tonnes

$120 per annum

(ii)	exceeding 50 gross tonnes but not exceeding 100 gross tonnes

$210 per annum

(iii)

exceeding 100 gross tonnes

$450 per annum

(2)	For a certified true copy of a document

$6 per copy

(3)	For a change of number of a fishing vessel

$40

(4)	For a crew book

$16

(5)	For every person employed on any fishing vessel or engaged in any activity thereon

$8.”.
