(Chapter 1)
Delegation of Powers (Ministry of National Development) Notification 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of National Development) Notification 1997 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 14th March 1997.
Delegation of powers
2.  The Minister for National Development, with the approval of the President, hereby deputes the Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of National Development, to exercise the powers of the Minister —
(a)under sections 16(8) and (9) and 21 of the Building Control Act (Cap. 29);
(b)under regulation 15 of the Building Control (Advertisement) Regulations (Cap. 29, Rg 10); and
(c)under section 31(3) of the Residential Property Act (Cap. 274).
Consequential amendments
3.—(1)  The Schedule to the Delegation of Powers (Consolidation) Notification (N 8) is amended by deleting item 1 under the heading “MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT”.
(2)  The Schedule to the Delegation of Powers (Consolidation) Notification (N 9) is amended by deleting the heading “MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT” and the entries relating thereto.
