Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Test) (Amendment) Rules 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 90 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Test) (Amendment) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 12th January 1996.

2. Rule 5(1) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Test) Rules is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (g) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(g)	the fee charged by the examiner for the carrying out of the examination shall not exceed the maximum fee as may, from time to time, be set by the Registrar unless the Registrar has determined that there shall not, for any period of time, be any maximum fee charged by the examiner;”.

3. Part I of the Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Test) Rules is deleted and the following Part substituted therefor:

“Part I

Sign to be Displayed by An Authorised Examiner

Diagram showing size, colour and type of sign to be displayed by an authorised examiner

”.
