(National Library Board —
Exemption) (No. 4) Order 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (National Library Board — Exemption) (No. 4) Order 2022.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means any draw to be held as part of the promotion at Ang Mo Kio Public Library (Programme Zone) from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following dates:

(a)	8 August 2022;
(b)	4 October 2022;
(c)	5 December 2022;

“organiser” means the National Library Board established by section 3 of the National Library Board Act 1995;

“promotion” means the promotion called “Starter Kit Read and Win Rewards Programme” that is to be made available from 1 June 2022 to 30 November 2022 (both dates inclusive) on the “NLB Mobile” mobile application platform and website at http://go.gov.sg/starterkitreadandwin maintained by the organiser;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act 2004.

Exemptions

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draws.

(2) The organiser is exempt from sections 13, 15 and 17 of the Act from 12 March 2022 to 31 May 2022 (both dates inclusive) in respect of any prohibited act under any of those sections carried out for the purposes of the promotion and the draws.

(3) The exemptions are subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
