Common Gaming Houses
(Kebun Baru Mahjong Challenge 2020 —
Exemption) Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (Kebun Baru Mahjong Challenge 2020 — Exemption) Notification 2020.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	the Kebun Baru Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee;
(b)	the Kebun Baru Active Ageing Committee; and
(c)	the Kebun Baru Spring Residents’ Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Kebun Baru Mahjong Challenge 2020” promotion to be held from 23 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the mahjong games to be held at the multi‑purpose hall of Kebun Baru Community Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 31 May 2020.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
