| Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1997 |

| Citation and commencement |
| 1. These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st May 1997. |
| Amendment of rule 7 |
| 2. Rule 7 of the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) Rules (R 3) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting paragraph (3). |
| Deletion of rule 9 |
| 3. Rule 9 of the principal Rules is deleted. |
| Amendment of rule 14 |
| 4. Rule 14 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the words “marriage register” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “register of marriages”. |
| Amendment of rule 15 |
| 5. Rule 15 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the words “marriage register” in paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the words “register of marriages”. |

6. The Schedule to the principal Rules is amended —
