(COVID-19 Access Restrictions and Clearance)
(Amendment No. 6) Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(1) of the Infectious Diseases Act 1976, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  These Regulations are the Infectious Diseases (COVID-19 Access Restrictions and Clearance) (Amendment No. 6) Regulations 2022.
(2)  Regulation 4 comes into operation on 14 March 2022.
(3)  Regulations 2, 3 and 5 come into operation on 15 March 2022.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2(1) of the Infectious Diseases (COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 273/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) of the definition of “Control Order” and substituting the following paragraph:
(b)the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022 (G.N. No. S 179/2022);”; and
(b)by deleting the definition of “relevant retail shopping centre” and substituting the following definition:
“ “relevant retail shopping centre” means a relevant retail mall to which the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022 apply;”.
Amendment of regulation 3
3.  Regulation 3(3A) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “regulation 10A(5) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020” and substituting the words “the Third Schedule to the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022”.
Amendment of regulation 6
4.  Regulation 6(4) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting “18” wherever it appears in sub‑paragraph (b) and substituting in each case “12”.
Amendment of Part 2 of Second Schedule
5.  Paragraph 1 of Part 2 of the Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020” in the definitions of “funeral event” and “funerary memorial event” and substituting the words “COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022”;
(b)by deleting the words “regulation 13(3) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020” in the definition of “indoor physical recreational facility” and substituting the words “the Third Schedule to the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022”;
(c)by deleting the definition of “major business event” and substituting the following definition:
“ “major business event” has the meaning given by paragraph 4(2) of Part 13 of the Third Schedule to the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022;”;
(d)by deleting the definition of “ordinary business event” and substituting the following definition:
“ “ordinary business event” means a business event that is not a major business event and is not a routine business event as defined in the Third Schedule to the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022;”; and
(e)by deleting the words “regulation 13(3) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020” in the definitions of “personal appearance service” and “personal care service” and substituting the words “the Third Schedule to the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022”.
