Notification 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Act 1998, the President hereby makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Act (Commencement) Notification 1998.

2.—(1) Sections 1 and 7 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Act 1998 shall come into operation on 31st March 1998.

(2) Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Amendment) Act 1998 shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.
