(Taxi Service Operator Licence)
(Amendment) Rules 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111J of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Taxi Service Operator Licence) (Amendment) Rules 2016 and come into operation on 1 May 2016.

Amendment of rule 4

2. The Road Traffic (Taxi Service Operator Licence) Rules (R 41) are amended by renumbering rule 4 as paragraph (1) of that rule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) Despite paragraph (1), the Authority may, in such special circumstances as it may determine, grant a licence for a period of less than 10 years.”.
