Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility for the Portfolio of the Minister for Community Development and Sports) Notification

It is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of Article 30(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has directed that Mr Wong Kan Seng, Minister for Home Affairs, shall, with effect from 1st April 2000, be charged with responsibility for the portfolio of the Minister for Community Development and Sports in so far as such responsibility relates to the following matters:

(a)	People’s Association;
(b)	Grassroots Organisations; and
(c)	Community Development Councils.

2. Notification No. S 59 published in the Subsidiary Legislation Supplement to the Gazette of 14th February 1997 is cancelled, with effect from 1st April 2000.
