Protection from Harassment
(Public Service Worker)
(Amendment No. 2) Order 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(6) of the Protection from Harassment Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Protection from Harassment (Public Service Worker) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2022 and comes into operation on 15 March 2022.
Amendment of Part 1 of Schedule
2.  Paragraph 63 of Part 1 of the Schedule to the Protection from Harassment (Public Service Worker) Order 2014 (G.N. No. S 750/2014) is amended —
(a)by deleting sub-paragraph (a) of sub-paragraph (2);
(b)by deleting sub-paragraphs (c), (d) and (e) of sub‑paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub‑paragraphs:
(c)if the specified premises are a restricted place within the meaning of the Infectious Diseases (COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 273/2021), doing any of the following:
(i)applying enhanced entry controls as required by the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022 (G.N. No. S 179/2022);
(ii)requesting for information as is authorised by regulation 10 of the Infectious Diseases (COVID‑19 Access Restrictions and Clearance) Regulations 2021;
(d)refusing entry to any individual —
(i)who refuses to comply with any procedure and protocol mentioned in sub‑paragraph (b) or (c); or
(ii)reasonably believed to be subject to a movement control measure, except where the individual —
(A)is seeking medical treatment on that place or those specified premises; or
(B)is complying with an order of a court or a direction given by or on behalf of a public officer or a public body in exercise of a power under any written law.”; and
(c)by deleting the definitions of “mask”, “movement control measure”, “specified symptom” and “symptomatic case” in sub‑paragraph (3) and substituting the following definitions:
“ “mask” and “movement control measure” have the meanings given by regulation 2(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Reopening — Control Order) Regulations 2022;”.
