Protection from Online Falsehoods and
Manipulation (Amendment) Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act 2019, the Minister for Communications and Information makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 18 March 2022.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3(3) of the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Regulations 2019 (G.N. No. S 662/2019) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Facebook” in sub‑paragraph (b)(ii); and
(b)by deleting the words “WhatsApp Inc.” in sub‑paragraph (ba) and substituting the words “WhatsApp LLC”.
Amendment of regulation 4
3.  Regulation 4(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Singapore Press Holdings Limited” and substituting the words “SPH Media Limited”.
Miscellaneous amendments
4.—(1)  The principal Regulations are amended by deleting the words “Facebook, Inc.” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “Meta Platforms, Inc.”:
 
Regulation 3(1)(b) and (3)(b)
 
Regulation 5(b)
 
Regulation 15(1)(a)(ii) and (b)(ii) and (2)(b).
(2)  The principal Regulations are amended by deleting the words “SPH Magazines Pte. Ltd.” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “SPH Media Limited”:
 
Regulation 3(1)(d) and (3)(d)
 
Regulation 15(1)(b)(iv) and (2)(d).
(3)  The principal Regulations are amended by deleting the words “Facebook Audience Network” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “Audience Network”:
 
Regulation 5(b)
 
Regulation 15(1)(a)(ii).
