Common Gaming Houses (Foreign Football Leagues Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Foreign Football Leagues Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 30th April 2002.

Exemption

2.—(1) Singapore Pools (Private) Limited and its officers and authorised agents are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion of any gaming in connection with any foreign football league match where the gaming takes place at such premises as may be approved by the Minister.

(2) In this paragraph, “foreign football league” means any football league specified in the first column of the Schedule and which is organised by the organiser specified in the second column thereof.
