Public Utilities (Water Meter Reading) Regulations 1996 |

Citation and commencement |
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Water Meter Reading) Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation on 3rd May 1996. |
Definitions |
2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

Estimates |
3. Where a meter reader in the course of his duties is unable to read any meter in the premises of the consumer by reason of —

Appointments to have meters read |
4. A consumer may at any time make a request in writing to the Board or the agent of the Board to have his meters read at a time and date to be arranged between him and the Board or the agent of the Board on payment of a fee of $3. |
Adjustments to bills |
5. The Board shall make adjustments to any estimated bill or bills as soon as the meters of the consumer have been read by the meter reader either on a subsequent visit to the premises or at the request of the consumer under regulation 4, whichever is the earlier. |
6. The Public Utilities (Meter Reading) Regulations are revoked. [Rg 8.] |
