(Winding Up) (Amendment)
Rules 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 164 of the Variable Capital Companies Act 2018 and all other powers enabling us under any written law, we, the Rules Committee, make the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Variable Capital Companies (Winding Up) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 April 2022.
Miscellaneous amendments
2.  The Variable Capital Companies (Winding Up) Rules 2020 (G.N. No. S 533/2020) are amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the definition of “applicant” in rule 3(1), the following definition:
“ “Assessing Master” means the Registrar or other officer of the Court whose duty it is to assess costs in the proceedings of the Court under its ordinary jurisdiction;”;
(b)by deleting the definition of “Taxing Master” in rule 3(1);
(c)by deleting the words “Originating summonses” in the following provision and substituting the words “Originating applications”:

(d)by deleting the words “originating summons” wherever they appear in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “originating application”:
