Merchant Shipping Act
(Chapter 179)
Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 213 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2010.
Amendment of Schedule
2.—(1)  Part II of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations (Rg 17) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “Survey of a high-speed craft” in item 1A, the words “or wing-in-ground (WIG) craft,”;
(b)by inserting, immediately after the words “high-speed craft safety certificate” in item 1A, the words “or WIG craft safety certificate”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after the words “high-speed craft” in item 1B, the words “or permit to operate WIG craft.”.
(2)  Part III of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after item 3, the following item:
3A. Application for a WIG craft officer certificate or revalidation of a WIG craft officer certificate

(b)by inserting, immediately after the words “Certificate of Competency or Service of any class” in item 4, the words “, or a WIG craft officer certificate”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after the words “class 1, 2, 3A, 3B or 4” in item 11, the words “, or for a WIG craft officer certificate”.
