Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act

Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Designation of Reciprocating Countries) (No. 2) (Amendment) Notification 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Designation of Reciprocating Countries) (No. 2) (Amendment) Notification 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st May 1999.
Amendment of paragraph 3
2.  Paragraph 3 of the Maintenance Orders (Reciprocal Enforcement) (Designation of Reciprocating Countries) (No. 2) Notification (N 2) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended —
(a)by deleting the word "country" in the 1st line of sub-paragraph (1) and substituting the word "territory"; and
(b)by deleting the words "Country and territory" in the marginal note and substituting the word "Territories".
Amendment of paragraph 4
3.  Paragraph 4 of the principal Notification is amended —
(a)by deleting the words "the country and territory" in sub-paragraphs (1) (3rd line), (2) (2nd line) and (3) (1st and 2nd lines) and substituting in each case the words "a territory";
(b)by deleting the words "that country or territory" in the 6th line and in the 8th line of sub-paragraph (1) and substituting in each case the words "that territory"; and
(c)by deleting the words "the country or territory" in the 4th line of sub-paragraph (4) and substituting the words "a territory".
Amendment of Schedule
4.  Part I of the Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by deleting the words "Hong Kong" and substituting the words "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China".
