Bankruptcy (Fees) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 166 of the Bankruptcy Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Bankruptcy (Fees) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 2nd May 1997.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Bankruptcy (Fees) Rules (R 3) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 7 in Table A;

(b)

by deleting item 10 in Table B and substituting the following item:

“10.

The fee for every application through Bankruptcy Instant Information Search for search for information maintained in electronic form

$6.”.

(c)

by deleting the words “each name searched” in item 13 in Table B and substituting the words “every application through remote access via commercial network for search for information maintained”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately after item 13 in Table B, the following items:

“14.

The fee for every application to the Official Assignee for manual search for information

$20.

15.

The fee for every proof of debt

$2.”.
