Road Traffic (Restricted Zone and Area
Licences) (Amendment) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Restricted Zone and Area Licences) (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 5th May 1997.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Restricted Zone and Area Licences) Rules (R 12) is amended by deleting “6.30 p.m.” in the first line of paragraph (a) of the definition of “restricted hours” and substituting “7.00 p.m.”.

Amendment of rule 5

3. Rule 5(3) of the Road Traffic (Restricted Zone and Area Licences) Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting “10.15 a.m.” in sub-paragraph (a) and substituting “9.30 a.m.”; and
(b)	by deleting “10.15 a.m.” in sub-paragraph (b) and substituting “9.30 a.m.”.
