Poisons (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(1) of the Poisons Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Rules:
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Poisons (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 17th May 1996.
2.  The First Schedule to the Poisons Rules is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately below the word “Bromvaletone”, the word “Brotizolam”;
(b)by inserting, immediately below the word “Etretinate”, the words “Etryptamine; its salts; its esters; their salts”
(c)by inserting, immediately above the word “Mesoridazine”, the word “Mesocarb”;
(d)by inserting, immediately below the word “Metharbitone”, the words “Methcathinone; its salts”; and
(e)by inserting, immediately below the words “Zinc phosphide”, the words “Zipeprol; its salts”.

3.  The Third Schedule to the Poisons Rules is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately below the word “Bromvaletone”, the word “Brotizolam”;
(b)by inserting, immediately below the word “Etretinate”, the words “Etryptamine; its salts, its esters; their salts”;
(c)by inserting, immediately below the words “Mercurous chloride when contained in medicinal preparations”, the word “Mesocarb”;
(d)by inserting, immediately below the word “Metharbitone”, the words “Methcathinone; its salts”; and
(e)by inserting, immediately below the words “Xylazine; its salts”, the words “Zipeprol; its salts”.
