Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, the Minister for Community Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 15th April 1998.

Amendment of rule 4

2. Rule 4(2) of the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) Rules (R 3) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting “$30” and substituting “$34”.

Amendment of rule 5

3. Rule 5 of the principal Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$20” in paragraph (1) and substituting “$23”; and
(b)	by deleting “$15” in paragraph (2) and substituting “$18”.

Amendment of rule 6

4. Rule 6(5) of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the words “$20 or $15, as the case may be” and substituting “$25”.

Amendment of rule 13

5. Rule 13 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting “$10” and substituting “$11”.

Amendment of rule 14

6. Rule 14(1) of the principal Rules is amended by deleting “$12” and substituting “$15”.

Amendment of rule 15

7. Rule 15(1) of the principal Rules is amended by deleting “$15” and substituting “$16”.

Amendment of rule 16

8. Rule 16(2) of the principal Rules is amended by deleting “$19” and substituting “$23”.
