Public Defenders
(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Public Defenders Act 2022, the Minister for Law makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Public Defenders (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 April 2024.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. In the Public Defenders Regulations 2022 (G.N. No. S 913/2022), in the First Schedule —

(a)

in the following provisions, replace “$1,500” with “$1,650”:

Paragraph 1(a)

Paragraph 2(a); and

(b)

in the following provisions, replace “$13,000” with “$21,000”:

Paragraph 1(b)(ii)

Paragraph 2(b)(ii)(B).
