Environmental Pollution Control (Vehicular Emissions) (Amendment) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Environmental Pollution Control Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Pollution Control (Vehicular Emissions) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2003.

Amendment of regulation 4

2. Regulation 4(3) of the Environmental Pollution Control (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations (Rg 6) is amended by deleting the words “1st July 1999” and substituting the words “1st July 2003”.

Deletion and substitution of Third Schedule

3. The Third Schedule to the Environmental Pollution Control (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THIRD SCHEDULE

Regulation 4(3)

Standard for Exhaust Emission for New Motor Cycles and Scooters

The standard for exhaust emission for motor cycles and scooters shall be the EC Directive 97/24/EC.”.
