Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) (Amendment) Order 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 9 of the Parking Places Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1996.

2. Paragraph 2 of the Parking Places (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Order (O 2) (referred to in this Order as the principal Order) is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(2) Copies of the Plans referred to in the First Schedule are available for inspection by the public free of charge during normal office hours at the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Car Parks (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Car Parks Division, 50 Market Street #10-00, Golden Shoe Car Park.”.

3. The First Schedule to the principal Order is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after item (209) of Part VI under the heading Parking Places, the following items:

“(210) Joo Seng Road and Little Road.

(211) Pioneer Crescent.

(212) Service Road off Upper Paya Lebar Road and delineated in Plan 302.

(213) Backlanes off Upper Serangoon Road Service Road and Tai Thong Crescent and delineated in Plan 303.”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after Part XI, the following Part:

“Part XII

Parking charges

(1) For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,500 kilograms —

(a)	45 cents per half hour or part thereof (from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.);
(b)	$2 per night (from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. the following day); or
(c)	$75 per month.

(2) For a vehicle with less than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —

(a)	60 cents per day (from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.);
(b)	60 cents per night (from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. the following day); or
(c)	$13 per month.

(3) For a vehicle with a seating capacity of more than 11 persons, inclusive of the driver, and the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,500 kilograms —

(a)	90 cents per half hour or part thereof (from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.);
(b)	$4 per night (from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. the following day); or
(c)	$80 per month.

4. The Second Schedule to the principal Order is deleted.
