Companies (Amendment) Regulations 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 411 of the Companies Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 2nd June 1997.
Amendment of regulation 7
2.  Regulation 7 of the Companies Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by deleting paragraph (7) and substituting the following paragraphs:
“(7)  The affidavit verifying a statement of affairs of a company referred to in sections 224(2) and 227L(2) of the Act shall be in accordance with Form 62 in the Second Schedule.
(7A)  For the purpose of section 270(1) of the Act, a statement of affairs of a company shall be verified by affidavit in accordance with Form 62A in the Second Schedule sworn or affirmed by the person who submits, or by one of the persons who submits, the statement to the Official Receiver or the liquidator of the company, as the case requires, under section 270(2) of the Act.
(7B)  For the purpose of section 296(4) of the Act, a statement of affairs of a company shall be verified by affidavit in accordance with Form 62 in the Second Schedule sworn or affirmed by the directors of the company.”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The First Schedule to the Companies Regulations is amended by deleting the following items:
Amendment of Second Schedule
4.  The Second Schedule to the Companies Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting “, 270” in the heading to Form 61;
(b)by inserting, immediately after Form 61, the following Form:
(c)by deleting Form 62 and substituting the following Forms:
(d)by deleting Form 77 and substituting the following Form:
(e)by deleting Forms 61 and 62 under the heading ELECTRONIC FORMS.
