(Law Practice Entities)
(Amendment) Rules 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 184 of the Legal Profession Act 1966, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Legal Profession (Law Practice Entities) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 April 2022.
Miscellaneous amendments
2.—(1)  In rules 52(3)(a), 57(2)(a) and 59(6)(a) of the Legal Profession (Law Practice Entities) Rules 2015 (G.N. No. S 699/2015) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), after “relevant proceedings”, insert “, or in any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings”.
(2)  In rules 52(3)(b), 57(2)(b) and 59(6)(b) of the principal Rules, after “relevant appeal”, insert “, or in any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant appeal”.
(3)  In rules 52(3), 57(2) and 59(6) of the principal Rules, replace sub‑paragraph (c) with —
(c)represent any party to —
(i)any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal in any matter concerning those proceedings or that appeal, as the case may be; or
(ii)any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal in any matter concerning those preliminary proceedings;”.
(4)  In rules 52(3)(d), 57(2)(d) and 59(6)(d) of the principal Rules, replace “or relevant appeal” with “, any relevant appeal, or any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal”.
