(Regulated Individuals)
(Amendment) Rules 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36M of the Legal Profession Act 1966, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Legal Profession (Regulated Individuals) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 April 2022.
Amendment of rule 14
2.  In rule 14(1)(c) of the Legal Profession (Regulated Individuals) Rules 2015 (G.N. No. S 701/2015) —
(a)in sub-paragraph (i), after “relevant proceedings”, insert “, or in any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings”;
(b)in sub-paragraph (ii), after “relevant appeal”, insert “, or in any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant appeal”;
(c)replace sub-paragraph (iii) with —
(iii)represent any party to —
(A)any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal in any matter concerning those proceedings or that appeal, as the case may be; or
(B)any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal in any matter concerning those preliminary proceedings;”; and
(d)in sub-paragraph (iv), replace “or relevant appeal” with “, any relevant appeal, or any proceedings that are preliminary to any relevant proceedings or relevant appeal”.
