(Restrictions on Questions and
Evidence in Criminal Proceedings)
(Amendment) Rules 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 154A(2) of the Evidence Act 1893, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Evidence (Restrictions on Questions and Evidence in Criminal Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 April 2022.
Miscellaneous amendments
2.  The Evidence (Restrictions on Questions and Evidence in Criminal Proceedings) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 726/2018) are amended by deleting the word “leave” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the word “permission”:
 Rule 3(a) and (b)
 Rule 4(1) and (2) and rule heading.
