Parking Places
(Dunearn Road — Exemption)
Order 2025
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Parking Places Act 1974, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Parking Places (Dunearn Road — Exemption) Order 2025 and comes into operation on 8 April 2025.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“approval of the competent authority” means permission granted by a competent authority to develop land, and includes authorisation by notification under section 21(6) of the Planning Act 1998;
“approved development” means a proposed development of land in relation to which approval of the competent authority is granted;
“competent authority” means any person who is appointed under section 5 of the Planning Act 1998 for the purposes of Part 3 of that Act;
“defined land” means the land specified in the Schedule;
“parking lot” includes a type of parking lot, such as a loading bay or unloading bay.
Exemption
3.  Any private parking place on the defined land that is provided or maintained in respect of any approved development of the defined land is exempt from the requirement in rule 4(1)(a)(i) of the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Lots) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 286/2018) that the minimum number of parking lots for cars prescribed under that rule be provided in respect of the approved development of the defined land.
