Environmental Protection and Management
(Vehicular Emissions) (Amendment)
Regulations 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Environmental Protection and Management Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 July 2017.

Amendment of heading to Part IIIA

2. Part IIIA of the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations (Rg 6) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “DIESEL” in the Part heading, the words “OR PETROL”.

Amendment of regulation 11A

3. Regulation 11A of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “diesel” wherever it appears (including the regulation heading), the words “or petrol”.

Amendment of regulation 11B

4. Regulation 11B of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “diesel” wherever it appears in paragraphs (1) and (2) and in the regulation heading, the words “or petrol”.

Amendment of regulation 11D

5. Regulation 11D of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “diesel” wherever it appears in paragraphs (1) and (3), the words “or petrol”.

Amendment of Eighth Schedule

6. The Eighth Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the Schedule heading and substituting the following heading:

“PART 1

STANDARDS FOR DIESEL”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 3 of Part 1, the following Part:
