Environmental Public Health Act
(Chapter 95)
Environmental Public Health (Funeral Parlours) (Amendment) Regulations 2005
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Environmental Public Health Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Public Health (Funeral Parlours) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 29th April 2005.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3(1) of the Environmental Public Health (Funeral Parlours) Regulations (Rg 5) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “The Commissioner or a medical officer of health or public health officer” in the 1st and 2nd lines and substituting the words “The Director-General or an authorised officer”.
Amendment of regulation 4
3.  Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Commissioner” in paragraph (2) and substituting the word “Director-General”; and
(b)by deleting paragraph (3) and substituting the following paragraph:
(3)  The fee payable for the grant or renewal of a licence shall be $170.”.
Amendment of regulation 9
4.  Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the word “Commissioner” in paragraph (a) and substituting the word “Director-General”.
Amendment of regulation 10
5.  Regulation 10 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “medical practitioner, medical officer of health” in paragraph (f) and substituting the words “registered medical practitioner”.
