Conductors, Trishaw Riders and Passengers)
(Amendment) Rules 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors, Trishaw Riders and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2016 and come into operation on 22 January 2016.

Amendment of rule 23

2. Rule 23(1) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors, Trishaw Riders and Passengers) Rules (R 8) is amended by deleting paragraph (n).

Deletion and substitution of rule 28

3. Rule 28 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors, Trishaw Riders and Passengers) Rules is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“Fares for taxi

28. A licensee, when acting as a taxi driver of a taxi, must display in the taxi in such manner or position as the Registrar may direct, a table of the fares for providing a taxi service using the taxi.”.
