Regulations 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 15 April 2020 at 3 p.m.

Amendment of regulation 3A

2. Regulation 3A(2) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 254/2020) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “carry out that activity” in sub‑paragraph (d), the words “, or when riding a motorcycle in the course of employment or otherwise”.

Amendment of regulation 4

3. Regulation 4(3) of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “to and” in sub‑paragraph (ca);

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “care of the child” in sub‑paragraph (ca), the words “and back to the firstmentioned place of residence”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the words “to go” in sub‑paragraph (cb), the word “daily”;

(d)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (cc) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(cc)

where the circumstances in sub‑paragraph (ca) or (cb) do not exist —

(i)	where the individual is a parent or guardian — to bring the individual’s child to the place of residence of any of the child’s grandparents for the care of the child; or
(ii)	where the individual is a grandparent — to move to the place of residence of the individual’s grandchild to care for the child;”; and

(e)

by deleting paragraphs (3B) and (3C) and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(3B) Where any child has been brought from a place of residence to the place of residence of any of the child’s grandparents under paragraph (3)(cc)(i), an individual must not bring the child back to the firstmentioned place of residence or to any other place of residence.

(3C) Where any individual has moved from the individual’s place of residence to the place of residence of the individual’s grandchild to care for any child in that place under paragraph (3)(cc)(ii), the individual must not move back to the firstmentioned place of residence or to any other place of residence.”.

Amendment of regulation 7

4. Regulation 7(2) of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “paragraph (1)(b)”, the words “or (c)”.
