Environmental Public Health Act
(Chapter 95)
Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 114 of the Environmental Public Health Act, the Minister for the Environment hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1999.
Deletion and substitution of Second Schedule and new Third Schedule
2.  The Second Schedule to the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) Regulations (Rg 3) is deleted and the following Schedules substituted therefor:
SECOND SCHEDULE
Regulation 28(1)
Fees for the Collection and Removal of Refuse
1.  Fees for the collection and removal of refuse from premises which are located in the area specified in the Third Schedule and which have been designated by the Commissioner under section 8 (2) (b) of the Act as premises whose occupiers shall use the service provided by the public waste collector licensee, Altvater Jakob Pte. Ltd.:
 
Per month
(1) Domestic premises provided with —
 
(a) direct refuse collection
$22.20 per premises.
(b) indirect refuse collection
$7.40 per premises.
(2) Non-domestic premises where daily quantity of refuse collected and removed —
 
(a) does not exceed 170 litres
$35.74 per premises.
(b) exceeds 170 litres but does not exceed 350 litres
$87.34 per premises.
(c) exceeds 350 litres but does not exceed 700 litres
$234.63 per premises.
(d) exceeds 700 litres but does not exceed 1,000 litres
$356.69 per premises.
(e) exceeds 1,000 litres for every 1,000 litres or part thereof
$365.44 per premises.
(3) Hawker stalls, including stalls in public markets and Statutory Board markets, and those operated on temporary permits
$24.51 per stall.
2.  Fees for the collection and removal of refuse from premises which are not located in the area specified in the Third Schedule and whose occupiers use the service provided by the public waste collector licensee, SEMAC Pte. Ltd.:
 
Per month
(1) Domestic premises provided with —
 
(a) direct refuse collection
$22 per premises.
(b) indirect refuse collection
$8.70 per premises.
(2) Non-domestic premises where daily quantity of refuse collected and removed —
 
(a) does not exceed 170 litres
$36 per premises.
(b) exceeds 170 litres but does not exceed 350 litres
$88.50 per premises.
(c) exceeds 350 litres but does not exceed 700 litres
$227 per premises.
(d) exceeds 700 litres but does not exceed 1,000 litres
$328 per premises.
(e) exceeds 1,000 litres for every 1,000 litres or part thereof
$328 per premises.
(3) Hawker stalls, including stalls in public markets and Statutory Board markets, and those operated on temporary permits
$20 per stall.

(2) Non-domestic premises where daily quantity of refuse collected and removed —
 
(a) does not exceed 170 litres
$36 per premises.
(b) exceeds 170 litres but does not exceed 350 litres
$88.50 per premises.
(c) exceeds 350 litres but does not exceed 700 litres
$227 per premises.
(d) exceeds 700 litres but does not exceed 1,000 litres
$328 per premises.
(e) exceeds 1,000 litres for every 1,000 litres or part thereof
$328 per premises.
(3) Hawker stalls, including stalls in public markets and Statutory Board markets, and those operated on temporary permits
$20 per stall.
THIRD SCHEDULE
Second Schedule, paragraph 1
Area in Which the Collection and Removal of Refuse from Premises Designated under Section 8 (2) (b) of the Act Shall be Carried by Altvater Jakob Pte. Ltd
The area bounded by Sungei Serangoon, Tampines Road, an imaginary line running from the junction of Tampines Industrial Avenue 5 and Tampines Road to Kaki Bukit Road 5, Kaki Bukit Road 5, Tampines Avenue 10, Bedok Canal, Sungei Bedok, an imaginary line running between East Coast Medicare Centre and Laguna National Golf Course, Bedok Junction, Upper East Coast Road, Bedok South Avenue 1, East Coast Parkway, Bedok 4th Subsidiary Drain (next to East Coast Park Car Park “F1”) and the coastline from Bedok 4th Subsidiary Drain to Sungei Serangoon, which area is more particularly delineated in the following map:
