(Prescribed Applicable Person)
Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Prescribed Applicable Person) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 April 2024.
Prescribed applicable person
2.  For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “applicable person” in section 2(1) of the Act, the following are prescribed as applicable persons:
(a)in relation to section 15(2)(b) of the Act — a Gurkha serving in the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force;
(b)in relation to sections 13(7B) and (7E)(b), 22(4B)(b) (in relation to the member and the member’s child or relative) and (4D), 25(1) and (1A), 26(1)(aa)(i) and 26B(1)(b) of the Act —
(i)a Gurkha serving in the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force; and
(ii)a Gurkha who has served in the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force but is no longer doing so.
