Sewerage and Drainage (Sanitary Appliances and Water Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 73 and 75 of the Sewerage and Drainage Act 1999, the Minister for the Environment hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sewerage and Drainage (Sanitary Appliances and Water Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1999.

Amendment of regulation 4

2. Regulation 4 of the Sewerage and Drainage (Sanitary Appliances and Water Charges) Regulations 1999 (G. N. No. S 166/99) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “20 cents” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “25 cents”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “42 cents” in paragraph (b) and substituting the words “51 cents”.

Transitional provision

3. Notwithstanding regulation 2, the Minister may, in his discretion, apply the revoked charges to the July 1999 cycle of meter readings as a transitional arrangement.
