Business Registration (Amendment)
Regulations 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Business Registration Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Business Registration (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 15 May 2015.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Business Registration Regulations (Rg 1) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Definitions

2. In these Regulations —

“electronic transaction form” means a form provided on the electronic transaction system for the purpose of filing documents under the Act electronically;

“electronic transaction system” means the electronic transaction system established by the Authority under section 28B(1) of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Act (Cap. 2A).”.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 4

3. Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Prescribed person

4. For the purposes of the Act, a registered qualified individual as defined in section 28A of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Act (Cap. 2A) is a prescribed person.”.

Amendment of regulation 6

4. Regulation 6(5) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “electronic filing system of the Registry” and substituting the words “electronic transaction system”.

Amendment of regulation 15

5. Regulation 15 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “electronic filing system of the Registry” and substituting the words “electronic transaction system”.
