Professional Engineers (Approved
Qualifications) (Amendment) Notification 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(1)(a) of the Professional Engineers Act, the Minister for National Development, after consultation with the Professional Engineers Board, makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) (Amendment) Notification 2018 and comes into operation on 15 January 2018.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) Notification 2009 (G.N. No. S 653/2009) (called in this Notification the principal Notification) is amended by deleting the words “any branch of engineering prescribed under section 10(8) of the Act” in the definition of “undergraduate engineering degree programme” and substituting the words “a prescribed branch of professional engineering work”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3 of the principal Notification is amended by deleting the words “branch of engineering prescribed under section 10(8) of the Act” in sub‑paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the words “prescribed branch of professional engineering work”.

Amendment of paragraph 4

4. Paragraph 4(1) of the principal Notification is amended by deleting the words “any branch of engineering prescribed under section 10(8) of the Act” and substituting the words “a prescribed branch of professional engineering work”.
