(Amendment) Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) of the United Nations Act 2001, the Minister for Law makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the United Nations (Sanctions — Somalia) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 26 May 2023.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. In the United Nations (Sanctions — Somalia) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 744/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 2, replace “and 2551 (2020)” with “, 2551 (2020) and 2662 (2022)”.

Amendment of regulation 4

3. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 4(1), in the definition of “UN List”, replace “or paragraph 43 of Resolution 2093 (2013)” with “, paragraph 43 of Resolution 2093 (2013) or paragraph 26 of Resolution 2662 (2022)”.

Amendment of regulation 16

4. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 16(2), after “Resolution 2551 (2020)”, insert “or paragraph 10, 11, 14, 15, 18 or 21 of Resolution 2662 (2022)”.
