Infectious Diseases
(COVID-19 Vaccination) Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Infectious Diseases (COVID-19 Vaccination) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 19 January 2021.

Definitions

2. In these Regulations —

“COVID‑19 vaccination” means the administration to an individual of any vaccine for the purpose of providing the individual protection against COVID‑19;

“identification document” includes an identity card within the meaning given by section 2(1) of the National Registration Act (Cap. 201) and a passport.

Notification of vaccination

3.—(1) For the purposes of section 48(2)(b)(i) of the Act, every medical practitioner who carries out, or supervises the carrying out of, a COVID‑19 vaccination must, within 72 hours after the carrying out of the vaccination, notify the Director or an officer of the Board designated by the Director, in writing, of all of the following information in relation to the vaccination:

(a)	the name and identification document number of the person vaccinated;
(b)	the name of the manufacturer and batch number of the vaccine used;
(c)	the date the vaccination was carried out.

(2) For the purposes of section 48(2)(b)(ii) of the Act, every medical practitioner who carries out, or supervises the carrying out of, a COVID‑19 vaccination must, within 72 hours after the carrying out of the vaccination, notify the person vaccinated, in writing, of all of the following information in relation to the vaccination:

(a)	the name of the manufacturer of the vaccine used;
(b)	whether the vaccine administered was the first or second dose of the vaccine;
(c)	the date and place the vaccination was carried out.
