Passports (Amendment) Regulations 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Passports Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the Passports (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and shall, with the exception of regulations 2, 4 and 5, come into operation on 1st July 2010.
(2)  Regulations 2, 4 and 5 shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 2010.
Deletion of regulation 24
2.  Regulation 24 of the Passports Regulations 2007 (G.N. No. S 651/2007) is deleted.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The First Schedule to the Passports Regulations 2007 is amended by deleting “$3” in the second column of item 9 and substituting “$10”.
Deletion of Fourth Schedule
4.  The Fourth Schedule to the Passports Regulations 2007 is deleted.
Miscellaneous amendments
5.  The Passports Regulations 2007 are amended by deleting the words “regulations 23 and 24” in regulations 3(1)(e) and 22 and substituting in each case the words “regulation 23”.
Transitional provision
6.  For the avoidance of doubt, regulation 3 shall apply in relation to any Singapore certificate of identity (single journey) issued on or after 1st July 2010 notwithstanding that the application for the Singapore certificate of identity (single journey) is made before that date.
