(Membership and Fees) (Amendment)
Regulations 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the National Council of Social Service Act 1992, the National Council of Social Service, with the approval of the Minister for Social and Family Development, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the National Council of Social Service (Membership and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 5 April 2022.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3(2) of the National Council of Social Service (Membership and Fees) Regulations (Rg 3) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “in writing”, the words “by post, delivery or electronic communication”.

Amendment of regulation 5

3. Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “in the Schedule” in paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the words “on the Council’s website and any electronic equivalent platform”;

(b)

by deleting the words “in the Schedule” in paragraph (5); and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (7), the following paragraph:

“(8) In this regulation, “Council’s website” means the website at https://www.ncss.gov.sg.”.

Amendment of regulation 9

4. Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (5), the following paragraph:

“(6) In this regulation, where the Board is required to give a Council member notice in writing or inform the Council member in writing, the Board may do so by post, delivery or electronic communication.”.

Deletion of Schedule

5. The Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted.
