Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) Order 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) Order 2007.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“restricted hours”, “specified entry point” and “specified road” have the same meanings as in the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) Rules (R 38);

“specified omnibus” —

(a)	with effect from 23rd February 2005, means any omnibus registered in the name of SBS Transit Ltd which bears bus service number 70, 107, 130, 162 or 400; and
(b)	with effect from 1st February 2007, includes bus service number 402.

Exemption

3. Rule 5 of the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) Rules shall not apply to any specified omnibus in relation to the driving or moving of that specified omnibus into the specified entry point on the specified road referred to in item 1 of Part VII of the First Schedule to those Rules during any restricted hours.
