Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) Notification 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) Notification 2011.
Exemption
2.—(1)  The Minister hereby exempts Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “Sands Mega Number” promotion to be held from 24th January 2011 to 20th February 2011 (both dates inclusive) (referred to in this paragraph as the relevant period) and the draws to be held at the Big Game Booth located outside the casino at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands at the following times during the relevant period:
(a)the “Main Draw” to be held daily at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively; and
(b)the “Lucky Hour Draw” to be held daily at 9 p.m.
(2)  The exemption is subject to compliance by Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. with the conditions stated in the letter of approval dated 19th January 2011.
