Pingat Polis Perkasa (The Police Gallantry Medal) Rules 1974 |

1. These Rules may be cited as the Pingat Polis Perkasa (The Police Gallantry Medal) Rules 1974. |
2. The Medal shall be designed and styled “The Pingat Polis Perkasa or the Police Gallantry Medal”. |
4. The Medal may be awarded by the President on the recommendation of the Commissioner of Police through the Minister. |
5. Every recommendation for the award of the Medal shall be submitted with such description and conclusive proof as the circumstances of the case may allow, and attestation of the act as the Minister may think requisite. |
6.—(1) The Medal shall consist of a circular medal in silver having on the obverse side the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Singapore encircled by the inscription “POLIS REPABLIK SINGAPURA”. On the reverse side shall be the police crest encircled by the inscription “PINGAT POLIS PERKASA”.

7. The Medal shall be of the design set out in the Schedule to these Rules. |
8. Where any act deserving of the award of the Medal is performed by a person to whom the Medal has already been awarded the said act may be recognised by the award of a silver Bar which shall be attached to the ribbon by which the Medal is suspended. There shall be no limit to the number of Bars that may be awarded to the holder of the Medal and for each Bar awarded a small silver star may be added to the ribbon when worn alone. |
9. The names of the persons to whom the Medal or a Bar thereto is awarded shall be published in the Gazette and a register of such names shall be kept in the office of the Prime Minister. |
10. The President may, on the recommendation of the Commissioner of Police through the Minister, cancel the award of the Medal to any person and thereupon the name of such person shall be deleted from the register:
