Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) Order 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) Order 2005.

Exemption

2. Section 101 of the Act shall not apply to a vehicle which bears any registration number set out in the Schedule and which —

(a)	is used as a private hire car between 16th May 2005 and 21st May 2005 (both dates inclusive) by C & P Rent-A-Car (Pte) Ltd for the purpose of the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference Asia 2005;
(b)	has valid insurance coverage for its use as a private hire car when it is so used; and
(c)	displays a label issued by the Registrar in such manner as he may require.
