Miscellaneous Offences
(Public Order and Nuisance) (Assemblies and Processions) (Amendment) Rules 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (1) of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) (Assemblies and Processions) (Amendment) Rules 2000 and shall come into operation on 30th June 2000.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2(2) of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) (Assemblies and Processions) Rules (R 1) is amended by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (e), and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraphs:

“(ea)	any festival auction assembly to which the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) (Festival Auction Assembly) Rules 2000 (G.N. No. S 303/2000) apply;
(eb)	any assembly held in connection with any public entertainment that is licensed under the Public Entertainments Act (Cap. 257); and”.
