Subordinate Courts (Variation of
District Court Limit) Order 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31A of the Subordinate Courts Act, the President, after consulting the Chief Justice, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Subordinate Courts (Variation of District Court Limit) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st August 1997.

Variation of District Court limit

2. For the purposes of the Act, with the exception of sections 26 (a) and 28, the District Court limit shall be $250,000.
